Welcome to the KCHS Counseling Department

Kirtland Central High School Counselors provide academic, career, and social/emotional counseling to students in grades 9th -12th grade. School counselors can be reached by phone and email. In-person meetings are available by walk-ins and appointment.

    New Mexico Graduation Requirements
    After School Credit Recovery

    KCHS students are provided an opportunity during the school year to make up credit through after-school programs for classes they failed in core courses. Students can retake up to two classes (1 credit), 2-days a week per class for fall and spring semester. After-school credit recovery is from 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM and is taught by KCHS teachers. Transportation is provided for students.

    Subjects Offered:

    • English I, II, III
    • Mathematics: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II
    • Social Studies: New Mexico History, World History, United States History
    • Science: Biology, Chemistry
    • Electives may be offered at the teachers' discretion
